GIVE GIRLS THE WINGS TO FLY,
NOT THE PAIN TO CRY AND DIE..

When we talk about environment, it doesn't only mean physical environment, it also includes social environment. Our society in the past was a patriarchal society where men dominated women but today we are living in the 21st Century and few norms and customs have no meaning now! India is trying its best to uproot discrimination against girl child but in some states one of the deadliest words can be heard in the hospital when the doctor says,"it's a girl." Due to many parents' perverse decision, girls are not given equal opportunities. Girls do have the right to achieve their goals and dreams. Women are goddesses and yet malpractices like female foeticides do occur in few regions. Why only women?! Beholding the unimportant rituals and customs of the past, doesn't mean we continue them even today. Innocent girls are aborted by bribing the doctors which causes health problems to mother too. Daughters are just like priceless jewels, women like P V Sindhu, Indira Nooyi and Sunita Williams have made a go of it today only due to education. According to the Right To Education Act, every child has the right to study till 14 years while in villages we see daughters getting married in teenage and undergoing peer pressure. We need to change the outlook of these orthodox people. Girl child is the nation's pride. A woman plays multiple roles in her life-a daughter, mother, sister, wife and much more. To conclude, a world without girl child is next to impossible...

WASTE WATER TODAY,                                  LIVE IN DESERT TOMORROW

We should indeed feel grateful about the things we are blessed with. One of the most precious elements is water. Water is a scarce resource so we should think a million times before thoughtlessly wasting it. What if you are told to live in a desert? If the same water wastage continues, shortly we would be living a life similar to the nomads of desert. We humans have a really bad habit of keeping the water tap open even when not in use. But at the same time, if there is a problem in the plumbing system and water is not available even for an hour, we criticize the authorities. Who do you think is responsible for this? Water scarcity can lead to drought, water pollution etc. As per few estimates, one person needs about 80-100 gallons of water per day. Lack of water can cause diseases and major sanitation problems. We can use the left over water used for watering plants to clean vegetables. Many such ideas can be adapted to save water at household level. Though being tasteless and colourless water has been an influential and essential element in our life. We should prudently use water or else the wars of future centuries will be fought over water.

WE NEVER KNOW THE WORTH OF WATER, UNTIL THE WELL IS DRY..

UNTIL ONE HAS LOVED AN ANIMAL, A PART OF ONE'S SOUL REMAINS UNAWAKENED

Imagine yourself being locked in a cage. You won't be able to stay there after a couple of hours, will you? Just the same way, animals too feel the captivity when they are ruthlessly kept and tortured in cages. If they can't speak, it doesn't mean they don't feel the agony.
Humans are indeed selfish creatures. Poachers are remorselessly killing  animals to obtain products like fur, meat, ivory and much more. If we suffer the same ill-treatment, we would definitely raise our voice but animals cannot do the same, so we need to safeguard their rights. Animal Rights Activists do raise their voice but that is too weak to be heard. On one hand, our religion teaches to worship cows, but on the other hand, we keep on endlessly slaughtering them. Do you frankly think we are right? Even for the wild animals, we can't keep them at our home so instead we can set them free in forests, why to put them in enclosures in zoos? The Wildlife Protection Act of 1972 in India states to build more national parks and banning poaching or hunting of animals, but the problem is not going to get curbed if we don't take action and simply ignore the issue. We too should be gentle and kind towards animals. After all it is thus truly said by Pythagoras that,"Animals share with us the privilege of having a soul." Even animals need independence.

KEEP THE NOISE DOWN, OR THE            NOISE WILL KEEP YOU DOWN..

One of the other major environmental issues is-noise pollution. It simply means excessive noise that causes disturbance to human and animal life. Again, we are only its cause. People in today's world have forgotten the word 'patience' and it (impatience) can be seen daily on the traffic signals when people honk inadequately. Excessive honking will not make the other vehicles move faster, but it would rather lead to noise pollution which would further cause problems like increased stress levels, irregular sleep patterns, hearing loss etc. If we won't curb the issue then who will? Other causes of noise pollution are industrialization, construction activities and social events. It is therefore wrong to play loud music without any use. Animals are also affected due to this.To solve this, we should take few steps like shutting down the noisy appliances when not in use, sound proofing our space, reducing excessive honking etc. Such steps will help us in making our world more peaceful.

              STOP NOISE POLLUTION !!
THE KEY TO A GREENER EARTH IS IN OUR HANDS
As being responsible citizens, it is our duty to protect our mother earth. But there are some people who don't care about surrounding cleanliness. Global warming has left a drastic effect on earth and the atmosphere. One of its reasons is-dumping of garbage. Government has made the facility of providing three separate garbage bins but we humans still have the so called 'custom' of throwing garbage anywhere as we wish except the garbage bins. If we have a glimpse at our circumjacent roads, we can find heaps of dirt that emits foul smell. Instead of waiting for someone's action towards this issue, we should take the step to maintain proper cleanliness and hygiene which would further prove to be a stepping stone towards a clean and green earth.

CLEAN AND GREEN,                                                               IS OUR PERFECT DREAM :)
